چکیده

Wearable lateral flow assay (LFA) devices in the point-of-care (POC) diagnosis are an emerging technology due to their ease of use, affordability, and robustness. Recent advances wearable allow rapid self-diagnosis using colorimetry. Visual readouts LFA strips often lead inaccurate readout different lighting conditions. Smartphone-based increasingly popular among POC platforms. Myriad challenges exist smartphone-based colorimetric analysis. Image processing on faces such as environment (indoor or outdoor), reflection (camera flash, shadow, etc.), conditions, illumination intensity (low high), blurred, a bent sensor skin. Battery operated preconcentration-assisted lateral flow assay.

Paper-based analytical devices (e.g. lateral flow assays) are highly advantageous as portable diagnostic systems owing to their low costs and ease of use. Because of their low sensitivity and detection limits for biomolecules, these devices have several limitations in applications for real-field diagnosis. Here, we demonstrate a paper-based preconcentration enhanced lateral flow assay using a c...

Detection of Shiga Toxins by Lateral Flow Assay

Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) produce shiga toxins (Stxs) that can cause human disease and death. The contamination of food products with STEC represents a food safety problem that necessitates rapid and effective detection strategies to mitigate risk. In this manuscript, we report the development of a colorimetric lateral flow assay (LFA) for the rapid detection of Stxs in <10 ...

Lateral-flow assay for rapid serodiagnosis of human leptospirosis.

An assay device for the rapid detection of Leptospira-specific immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies in human sera is presented. The sensitivity (85.8%) and specificity (93.6%) of the assay compared well (91.9% agreement) with those of an IgM enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay routinely used in the serodiagnosis of leptospirosis. The sensitivity of the assay varied with the stage of the disease. The...

Lateral flow assay with near-infrared dye for multiplex detection.

BACKGROUND Lateral flow assays (LFAs) are popular point-of-care diagnostic tools because they are rapid and easy to use. Nevertheless, they often lack analytical sensitivity and quantitative output and may be difficult to multiplex, limiting their usefulness in biomarker measurement. As a proof-of-concept study, we detail the design of a quantitative, multiplex LFA with readily available near-i...
